Plastic Surgery - Because Nobody's Perfect
From breast augmentation to facial enhancement, Americans are seeking bodily perfection in record numbers. And why not? If you've got it, flaunt it, right? And if you weren't born with it, what's wrong with acquiring it along the way?
Plastic surgery techniques have become increasingly high tech and low maintenance, driving more and more individuals to take advantage of what are now highly affordable procedures designed to enhance body image and satisfaction. Although certainly not without risks, plastic surgery has become a booming industry where reputable providers are giving their clients what amounts to, for some, a new lease on life.
It's hard enough to compete in today's world, and it is a competition, without some sort of advantage. Sometimes that advantage is cosmetic. Humans have been driven by beauty and looks since the beginning of time, and understandably so. Attraction is actually a genetically-driven aspect of all human beings. The most attractive individual is seen as the best mate, and is therefore the most sought after of the bunch. Additionally, and as we have all heard, the first attraction is always physical. Now, we know why that happens, but what are we supposed to do if we're not able to measure up to what society has defined as physical perfection?
Certainly, there are those who have little to complain about, and then there are others who are just a jumbled mess of pieces parts that do not appear to blend together. Honestly, ideal beauty, or physical perfection, is in the eye of the beholder - and sometimes that eye is the individual himself or herself. And, as psychologists have indicated that a good body self-image goes a long way toward enhancing self-esteem, it makes sense to do whatever you are comfortable doing to look your best. For some people, this means a box of hair color and a great skin-care regimen. For others, it's far more complex.
Okay, so beauty is only skin deep, right? Well, unfortunately, it's not your insides that the world sees when you step out of your door every morning. Studies have shown that better looking people are viewed as friendlier and more successful. And, as everyone knows, being the best you can be is certainly a plus. With all of the options available for cosmetic procedures financing, there's no reason not to look into any enhancement that you've been considering. Sure, nobody's perfect...but we can try.
